YMCA's Social Work in Denmark is one of the largest NGO's in Denmark within the field of voluntary social work. The organization counts 63 institutions situated in all parts of Denmark.
An old organization with a variety of institutions
YMCA's Social Work in Denmark (in Danish "KFUM's Sociale Arbejde i Danmark") was founded in 1918 by the rector Johannes With.
Today the organization counts 63 institutions: 30 social cafés and shelters, 15 treatment and housing centers, 8 kindergartens and recreational homes and finally 10 second-hand shops.
